![]() ![]() There are no green houses in this game but there are a total of 16 hotels which you can purchase once you own a full-colour set. There are fewer properties to buy and some are free, half price or comes with Hotel etc. The game board is slightly different from the classic. We have the Top Hat, Scottie the dog, Car, Cat, T-Rex and Penguin. Some of them are the classics and some are introduced from last year. This game is for age eight and above, and for two to six players. So watch out and make sure the prisoner doesn’t make a sneaky escape! I love this little orange gadget! There is no key for this handcuff but there is a quick release button. In this game, they have added a plastic Handcuff Unit to make sure a prisoner is well cuffed. This updated version of the classic game comes with new rules that allow people to partake in those iconic (yet sometimes unspoken) Monopoly moments that occur during family game nights. But not all of my family members love it. Why would I want to pay rent or lose the game to my children!Īnyway, this Monopoly Cheaters Edition gives you a licence to cheat! How awesome is that! I am very impressed with this game. It costs around £14.99 from Amazon and all good toy shops and Monopoly Cheater’s Edition would make a fun family board game for all the family to enjoy.Who doesn’t like to cheat? I love that Monopoly are always looking for ways to improve the game and this time, I think they have nailed it! I do occasionally “bend the rules” for myself during a Monopoly game. Without the houses and hotels it’s actually a much simpler game for children to play, and shorter too! ![]() It’s a great twist on the original and we loved the additions to the game board. We have had so much fun playing Hasbro Gaming’s Monopoly Cheater’s Edition. The other major addition to the game is some handcuffs! These attach to the board whenever you land on the Go To Jail corner and must be worn until you pay your way out, you roll a double, use a Get Out Of Jail Free card or cheat! Oh yes, as well as stealing money from the Bank, taking property cards that belong to your opponents or move other people’s tokens, you can also try and sneak our of Jail! My daughter was initially a little confused by this but soon got into the spirit. There are five cheat cards placed in the centre of the game board and if you are caught then you either have to pay a fine or the person accusing you has to pay a fine. Of course, if one of your opponents catches you cheating they can call you out for it. There are some other differences with the original game too, such as whenever you take your turn you also control the Bank – this is great for helping yourself to some extra money. We found this game a little shorter to play than normal Monopoly which suited us really well given their ages (7 and 8). My children loved this idea a little too much! They had so much fun playing that they basically cheated on every turn. These now help (or hinder) you as you try to achieve the main goal in playing – which is cheating your way around the board without getting caught! The game tokens have been updated, as have the Chance and Community Chest cards. There’s also a free property, one that comes with a free hotel, and another at half the usual price – these are all fun to land on and grab before your opponents get there. For example the four stations are warp points instead of properties, and you move to the next station when you land on them. We are huge fans of Monopoly and love to see all the different versions of the game. Monopoly Cheater’s Edition is closely related to the original Monopoly with a similar board and properties. Monopoly Cheater’s Edition from Hasbro Gaming This is an updated version of the original Monopoly game featuring a similar style of board, with paper money, game tokens, dice, Chance and Community Chest cards. My 8 year old just loves Monopoly so he was very happy to receive the new Monopoly Cheater’s Edition from Hasbro Gaming too. Last week we were lucky to review the brand new Monopoly Fortnite edition.
